Saint Irene was a fearless young girl who was educated and yet sheltered by an overbearing father because of her marvelous beauty. Irene, born Penelope, stood her ground in the face of mental and physical oppression and survived multiple attempts of assassination upon her life. Saint Irene risked her life for her truth among a culture in which she had no rights. She is an example that age does not equate maturity in the deep understanding of one’s faith.

Painted in the rich colors of a royalty Saint Irene holds the palm of martyrdom. Wearing the traditional dress of a Noble Persian Saint Irene stands in front of an elaborately colorful and rich backdrop representing the life she reflected to all she encountered.

Saint Irene accomplished her life in purity and stood with palpable bravery against the Kings of this earth. A woman preacher, Saint Irene spoke not only with her words but with her life.
